Peggy Veazey Obituary
Mrs. Veazey was born in Sparta, Georgia on August 2, 1937, to the late John Neal Wells and Geneva Clyde Yarborough Wells. Mrs. Veazey worked at the Bank of Hancock County for nearly 50 years and retired as Assistant Vice-President. She was preceded in death by her husband Marion Brown Veazey and a brother Wayne Wells. She truly loved her community and her grandchildren. She was a member of Pierce Memorial Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son Jeff Veazey (Lynne) of Sparta, her daughter Yvonne Veazey Messex (Wes) of Macon, four grandchildren Justin Messex (Radha) of Euharlee, Taylor McGuire (Adam) of Macon, Josh Veazey of Milledgeville, Carly Veazey of Sparta, and a great grandchild Layla Veazey.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 19, 2026, from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Pierce Memorial Methodist Church or John Hancock Academy.
Moores Funeral Home & Crematory has charge of arrangements.

Hi, my name is Cameron. I was a former employee at antebellum. I am going to miss Peggy so much. Spending time with her was the best part of my shift. She will always be loved and missed.
