Peggy JoAnn Walden, age 90, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026, in Ducktown, TN. Peggy was born May 14, 1935, in Isabella, TN to James Henry and Dora Fay Clonts. 

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, France Walden; step-son, Mike Walden; father, James Henry Clonts; mother, Dora Fay Clonts; brother, Harmon Stevenson Clonts; brother, Charles Raymond Clonts; brother, Ernest Walton Clonts; brother, James Hoyt Clonts; sister, Dorothy Willene Loudermilk; brother, Ralph Edward Clonts; and sister, Carolyn Elizabeth Beavers. 

She is survived by her sister, Charlotte McCombs; step-daughter, Mary Stover; and numerous nieces & nephews.

Peggy made a personal confession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as her savior. 

Funeral Service, on Friday January 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Homes & Crematories McCaysville Chapel with Rev. Chris Clark officiating.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Mike Clonts, Mike Naumann, Mark Anderson, and Steve Buck. 

Interment will follow at Copper Ridge Cemetery in Blue Ridge, GA

The family will receive friends at Cochran-McDaniel Funeral Homes & Crematories McCaysville Chapel on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 1:30 PM - 2:00 PM.
