Peggy Louise White, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on December12, 2024, in Dublin, Georgia, surrounded by her children. Born on April 18, 1943, in Osceola, Arkansas, Peggy was known for her unwavering love and devotion to her family.
For more than 30 years, Peggy dedicated herself to supporting her husband, Randel White, as the office manager of White's Grove Service and then at Florida Citrus Co. Her commitment went beyond her professional life; she was a wonderful caregiver who always prioritized the needs of her family. Peggy had a special way about her—she was nurturing and kind, yet she possessed a stern side that ensured her loved ones stayed on the right path.
Peggy leaves behind her three adoring children: Teresa Wilde and her husband, Rick, of Center Hill, Florida; Doug White and his wife, Becky, of Helena; and Ginger Howard and her husband, Mark, also of Center Hill. She took great pride in her role as grandmother to Randy White, Joey White and his wife, Theresa, Melissa Merritt and her husband, Christopher, Jessica Reedyk and her husband, Ryan, Caleb Fender, and Jack Studdard. Each grandchild held a special place in her heart, and she always made time to care for them with the same love and attention she extended to her children and to each of her nine great-grandchildren.
Peggy is survived by her siblings, Stanley Earl Sloan of Zephyrhills, Florida; Sarah Nell Baxter of Merritt Island, Florida; and Jimmy Harold Sloan and his wife, Billie, of Minneola, Florida. The bonds of family were incredibly important to her, and her siblings will miss her deeply.
Her cherished presence joins those of her late husband, Randel White, who she was married to for 64 wonderful years, and her parents, Lealus “Lee” Sloan and Nannie Elizabeth Pierce Sloan. Also preceding her in death were her siblings Ronald Sloan, Bernice Rudesill, and Margie Dickerson.
The memory of Peggy Louise White will forever live on in the hearts of those she loved. Her legacy of compassion, strength, and dedication will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known her.
A visitation to celebrate Peggy’s life will be held on December 14, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Center Hill, located at 175 S. Virginia Ave., Center Hill, Florida, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Burial will be at Center Hill Cemetery.
