August 21, 2016 - April 18, 2025
With deepest sorrow and immeasurable love, we share the passing of our sweet angel, Penelope Song Richard, age 8, on Friday, April 18, 2025.
Born on August 21, 2016, Penelope lived in Texas City, Texas, where she filled every room with light, laughter, and movement. She was beautiful and bright, clever and kind-radiating a joy that was both pure and powerful. She lived life with energy and grace, always dancing to the rhythm of her own heart.
Penelope loved to dance and to swim. She moved through the world with grace and spirit, her laughter bubbling like sunshine and her curiosity leading her on new adventures each day. Whether she was twirling in the living room, splashing in the pool, or giggling with her dogs, Sapphire and Gunner, Penelope saw the magic in every moment and helped us see it, too.
She is deeply loved and forever cherished by her parents, Derek Richard and Sean Anderson, and Brittany and Michael McCormack; her big brother, Daniel Richard; her grandparents, Michele Blessing, Jeff and Terri Richard, and Anita Arnold alongside her late grandfather, Lloyd Arnold Jr. She is also lovingly remembered by her aunts, uncles, and cousins-Josh, Lane, Oliver, and Eleanor Richard; Kaitlyn Arnold; and Taylor and Lainey Head.
Penelope's absence leaves a space in all our hearts, but her spirit continues to shine in the memories we hold, in the lives she touched, and in the love she gave so freely.
Penelope was a gift to this world and a light that will never dim. She will always be our dancing girl, our bright star, our beloved wildflower, our Penelope Song.
