Remembrance of a Friend

She'd lived in the house for seventy years
Through childhood, marriage, happiness, and tears.
What was there for her when her love had gone?
Loneliness, sickness, a future alone?

And yet, she had hope and a desire to stay.
She could still enjoy a bright summer day.
But, it was not for her the choice to make.
A cruel illness her sweet life did take.

She had a life of peace and contentment,
Accomplishing all for which she was meant.
A kind, gentle person all did avow;
A small part of the world is empty now.

Jolee and Casey, Wanted you to know I share your mother's loss. She was certainly a devoted wife and mother and for me she was a reliant Library staff member and friend. Best wishes, George Stewart

I'm so sorry to hear of Penny's passing as I'm out of town. I am a neighbor for the last 30 years and always loved to see her and say hello. She was a fixture on Tobey Road, it will seem so much different without her. Rest in Peace
