Penny LeNane Perrigo

Penny LeNane Perrigo passed away too soon at the age of 63 at her home in Shelbyville, Missouri. Penny was born August 8, 1962 in Macon, Missouri, the daughter of Patsy and the late Jim Mettes of Shelbyville, Missouri. Penny was preceded in death by her father, Jim Mettes. Penny is survived by her husband, Robert Perrigo of Leonard, Mo., mother, Patsy Mettes of Shelbyville, Mo., brother, Lance (Melissa) Mettes of Leonard, Mo., son, Cody (Bridget) Browning of Leonard, Mo., stepson, Cody Perrigo, three grandchildren whom she adored, Cole, Alexis, and Piper Browning., and four nephews Dakota Mettes of Collinsville, IL, Dalton (Carley) Mettes of Paris, Mo., Dylan (Lindsey) Mettes of Knox City, Mo., and Dayton Mettes of Platte City, Mo., as well as, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Penny graduated from North Shelby High School in 1980. Penny was an employee of Long Branch Park for over 30 years, where she prided herself on making sure the park was running smoothly and every camper was accounted for. More than anything, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, whether that be at a ballgame, birthday party, or Sunday afternoon when she frequently visited on her "drive through the country". Funeral service will be held at 12 pm on Friday, October 17, 2025 at the Greening -Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina, MO. A visitation will precede the service from 9 am to 12 pm. Burial will follow after the service at the Shelby Memorial Cemetery, in Shelbyville, MO. Pallbearers honoring Penny are Cole Browning, Alexis Browning, Piper Browning, Dakota Mettes, Dalton Mettes, Dylan Mettes, and Dayton Mettes.
