Percy Lee Kincy III, 66, a resident of South Bend, Indiana passed away peacefully on December 8, 2022. Percy was surrounded by the love of family at the time of his passing. He was born to Percy Lee Kincy II and Doris Burke in Duncan, Mississippi on July 27, 1956. He had five siblings; Charles, George, Linda, April, and Connissa Gross--all of whom he loved very much. Percy attended Joliet East High School and graduated in 1975. He attended Lewis University and worked at Smurfit- Stone Container Corporation for many years as a machine operator.
Percy met the love of his life, Ruth Ann, in Joliet, Illinois. Percy and Ruth Ann were united in holy matrimony on September 14, 1978 in St. Joseph, Michigan. He was affectionately known as "Perce" by his wife and as "Grandpa" by his grandchildren. Together, they loved and raised 7 children. They moved to South Bend, Indiana in 1989. Percy was employed at Memorial Hospital in the maintenance department where he was in charge of overseeing maintenance procedures. South Bend became their home and final resting place.
Percy was known for his love of the Chicago Bears and Notre Dame football. You could usually catch him watching a football game and spending time with family. Percy also loved watching science fiction and was a true nurturer. He didn't raise his voice much and was known for his relaxed and loving demeanor.
Percy leaves to cherish his loving memory, six children: Clifford "Cliff" Morrow, Stephanie "Step" Hinton, Arlesia "Lisa" Murray, Delores "Lois" Marshall (Karl), Muhammed Green Jr., and Percy "Rell" Kincy, as well as siblings, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who celebrate his life and death.
