His journey led him to the shores of New York, where he would eventually build a life filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories.In 1953, Perfecto joined the Army, proudly serving his adopted country as a Private First Class. His time in the service was marked by the same dedication and warmth he would later bring to all his endeavors. Following his military service, Perfecto transitioned to civilian life, becoming a cherished doorman at Yorkshire House. There, he greeted residents and visitors alike with a genuine smile and a kind word, becoming a beloved figure in the community.Perfecto's life was a testament to the power of simple pleasures. He found joy in the melodies of Mexican music, often letting the rhythms and harmonies uplift his spirit. His presence on Facebook was a source of happiness not just for him but for his many friends and family members with whom he shared his life's moments. Above all, spending time with his loved ones was Perfecto's greatest interest and the cornerstone of his life.He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion in his wife, Elba Barreto, who stood by his side as a partner and confidante. His daughters, Cindy Barreto-Aradio and Linda Barreto, will remember their father as their guiding light, whose unwavering support and gentle guidance shaped their lives.
