Perry Catron

My love, sympathy and prayers.

I was deeply saddened to here of Perry's passing. He was one of my coaches back in the early 60's for the redskins in the Marion recreation Little League. I remember him well. He loved what he did. I always enjoyed chatting with him anytime I saw him out. He was always encouraging and upbeat. I would rate him as the best referee in all of southwest Virginia. I remember watching him referee all through the years and during basketball games he could run backwards going back down the court...

I'm so sorry for your loss, Martha! Prayers for comfort. He was a wonderful man.

My prayers and thoughts for the Catron family in the passing of Perry. May the Lord comfort and watch over all .

It is with a sad heart and a lifetime of memories that I write this message. I always loved his laugh and how he loved his family. One of my favorite memories was when I had babysat you girls but it made me late for basketball practice. Perry said, “ Don’t worry. Coach Duncan won’t be mad when she sees me. “ He was so right and I was so proud.

I'm so sorry to hear of Perry's passing. One of my earliest memories is of coming up there to play, Martha and I must've been 4 or 5. I'll be praying for and thinking of you all.
