Perry Myron Lashley, a beloved son, father, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on July 12, 1960, in Paragould, Perry was a lifelong resident of the area, calling Marmaduke home. A proud graduate of Paragould High School, he earned his high school diploma in 1978, laying the foundation for a fulfilling career as an auto body technician.
Perry dedicated many years to his work at Lashley Brothers Automotive, where he was not only an esteemed technician but also a respected owner. Throughout his career, he poured his heart and soul into his craft, earning the admiration of his colleagues and countless customers.
Perry's zest for life was most evident in his passion for racing. He was an enthusiastic fan of NASCAR and NHRA, often seeking opportunities to engage in these exhilarating sports. If racing was happening nearby, you could bet Perry was right in the midst of it, embracing the thrill and excitement that it brought.
When he wasn't at the racetrack or watching it on TV, Perry cherished the tranquility of the great outdoors. He loved to fish, garden, and enjoy nature's beauty. In his later years, he found joy and creative expression in woodworking, crafting pieces that reflected his artistic spirit.
In the last year of his life, Perry experienced a profound transformation, embracing his faith and growing in his relationship with Jesus Christ. This newfound faith brought him peace and fulfillment, which he treasured deeply.
Perry is survived by his cherished son, Nick Lashley; his beloved granddaughter, Addison Lashley; his loving stepmother, Jo Lashley; his dear sister, Dana (Dinnon) Butler; niece, Ashley (John) McCoy; great nephews, Clarke and Koy McCoy; great niece, Collins McCoy; and enough friends to fill a NASCAR Motor Speedway. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will continue to inspire those who knew him. Perry is preceded in death by his father, Dennis Lashley; mother, Joan Agee; and brother, Phillip Lashley.
A visitation will take place at Heath Funeral Home on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 PM. A graveside service to celebrate Perry's life will be held on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Linwood Cemetery.
Friends, family, and all whose lives Perry touched are warmly invited to gather and remember the vibrant spirit of a remarkable man who lived life to the fullest. In celebrating his life, we honor the joy, love, and faith that he shared with each of us.
