July 28, 1930 - April 14, 2024
Peter Ambrosini, 93, of New Haven passed away April 14, 2024 in Elim Park in Cheshire. Born in New Haven on July 28, 1930 a son of the late Angelo and Concetta Finelli Ambrosini. Brother of the late Leo (Marion) Ambrosini. He is survived by a nephew, David (Lenore) Ambrosini of Guilford and a niece, Leona Ambrosini of Branford. Prior to his retirement Peter was a heavy equipment operator for Union Local #478 for many years. He was a 1948 graduate of Commercial High School where he played varsity football and baseball. Peter was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. His family would like to thank the Staff at Elim Park for their excellent care.
His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte 80), East Haven Saturday morning at 9:00. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 9:30. Entombment with military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. Friends may call SATURDAY MORNING from 8:00-9:00. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the West Haven VA Medical Center, 950 Campbell Ave., West Haven, CT 06516. Sign Peter's guest book online at www.portofuneralhomes.net

My heartfelt condolences to David and Leona Ambrosini. Pete has been a long time friend for me through his best friend my brother Joseph Mancini. We talked often sharing and exchanging past and current topics. I will miss those conversations. Peace in your new home Pete. Love Mimi Mancini Deme.
