Obituary
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Peter Heinz Balic of Hawthorne, NY on March 9, 2023. Peter is survived by his wife, Rosemaria Balic (Dellorso) and his daughters Marlena and Adrianna. He also leaves behind his proud mother, Heidi Balic, grandmother, Lieselotte Gebauer, and sister, Erika O'Byrne (Husband Brian O'Byrne). Predeceased by his father, Mate Balic, Peter was also a beloved son-in-law to Tony and Maria Dellorso and the adored uncle to seven nephews and one niece.
Peter was born in Yonkers, NY on April 25, 1979. He moved to Hawthorne, NY in 1984 and attended Westlake High School where he graduated in 1997. Then he earned his Bachelor's degree from Hofstra University and his Master's degree from Pace University. He went on to have a successful career working in finance at Morgan Stanley.
Peter met the love of his life, Rosie, in high school when he was only sixteen years old. They built a beautiful home together based on love and laughter. He was a devoted husband and father. Peter was the son and grandson you could count on and the big brother that was always there to give advice. He created many wonderful memories for his family that his daughters will cherish forever. Watching Marlena dance and Adrianna play basketball brought him pure joy. He loved coaching their teams and was always on the sidelines cheering them on. He was and will always be their number one fan. Peter enjoyed boating and being on the water where he could find happiness with his family and friends. Many Sundays in the fall you could find Peter tailgating at Giants Stadium or throwing a football with his nephews. Peter loved traveling and was always up for an adventure. He shared his passion for skiing with his girls and they loved being on the slopes together. Peter's love of his garden brought him as much pride as any project he worked on and he had the ultimate green thumb.
Peter was the anchor of the family and the friend you would call when you had a question or needed help. He provided love and support to everyone around him and will be missed deeply. Although his life was cut short, he lived it to the fullest and left behind a beautiful legacy.

Peter was always a pleasure to trade with. He was matter of fact, professional and kind. Everyone liked him. I am thankful to have known him. He will be missed very much but never forgotten.
