Peter G. Bartz

A resident of Williamsville, New York since 1962; He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on September 9, 2025 at the age of 81 after a long journey with Alzheimer's disease. Peter was born on March 15, 1944 in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Beloved husband of 61 years to Donna R. (nee McKeen) Bartz; loving father of Celeste J. (Robert R.) Radel and Michael G. Bartz; cherished grandfather of Madeleine, Peter and William; caring brother of T. Webster (late Patricia), Gary G. (Marion), late Jeffrey J. (Leah) and Chris J. (Michael) Stanley; son of the late Theodore J. and Jean R. (nee Greer) Bartz; also survived by nieces and nephews. Peter began his career in 1966 in accounting. He was the senior and managing partner for J.D. Ellicott and Co., PC, CPAs, Senior Partner for Gaines, Kriner, Elliott, LLP and Firm Ambassador for the Bonadio Group retiring in 2019. Peter graduated in 1962 from Marcellus New York High School. His education continued at the University at Buffalo School of Management and graduated in 1966 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. In 1979 Peter joined the Transit Valley Country Club. He served on many committees over the years and served as club president in 1992. He was an avid golfer since childhood. He also enjoyed basketball, running, biking, skiing, health club physical fitness and was very active in Bible Study and other groups at Eastern Hills Church in Williamsville, New York. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Flowers gratefully declined.
