Peter Frederick Buechle

Peter Frederick Buechle, 82, of Hackettstown, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026.
Born on July 9, 1943, in East Orange, New Jersey, Peter was the son of the late Dr. Carl Frederick Buechle and Nancy (Burns) Buechle. He spent his early childhood in East Orange before the family moved to Glen Ridge. Later in life, he married his beloved wife, Susan, with whom he shared many years of love, laughter, and family life.
Peter and Susan first made their home in Verona, then Budd Lake, before settling in Allamuchy in 1998, where they lived for many years.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Peter is survived by his wife, Susan; his sons, Peter Timothy Buechle and his wife Michelle, and Erik Christopher Long and his wife Sarah; and his cherished grandchildren, Olivia, Ava, Alex, and Caden. He is also survived by his brothers, Thomas Buechle and his wife Laurie, and Paul Buechle; his sister, Carol Milkis and her husband Syd; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A true homebody at heart, Peter found his greatest joy in spending time with his family. He especially loved quiet moments at home and peaceful drives through the countryside. He also had a strong interest in technology and pursued formal studies in computer programming. He was self-employed for many years, and following retirement, he created websites-an accomplishment he took great pride in.
Peter will be remembered for his gentle nature, his devotion to family, and his appreciation for life's simple pleasures. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
