Peter Anthony Cacioppo, age 88, born on August 25, 1937, in Brooklyn, New York, passed away peacefully of natural causes on August 26, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio,

where he recently resided. Peter was a U.S. Air Force Veteran having served from 1958 to 1964 as a Chaplain's Assistant and was stationed in Morocco which gave him an opportunity to travel extensively as a young man. His last station was in Great Falls,

Montana before returning home to Middle Village, New York. On July 16, 1966, he

married Patricia Ann Marsich and with her, raised their twin daughters in Queens, New

York and in Uniondale, Long Island where they purchased their first home in 1977.

Peter and Pat had celebrated 50 years of matrimony upon her death in 2016. After his military service, he worked for Lever Brothers Company for 25 years in NYC and Chase Bank for 6 more years before celebrating retirement in a brand-new home in The Villages, Florida in 1999. Peter enjoyed being near family in The Villages, was the director of the Property Owners Association there for a time, and also volunteered with the Parkinson's Support Group.

Peter will be remembered as the steady rock, a very good man whose loving bond with

family was a source of immense pride for him. He was a gentle giant whose personality

and humor impacted many. He was an amazing father, sensitive and even poetic. A

piano man, trained in classical music that would get him singing and moving despite his

battle with Alzheimer's. His memory left him, but his love for others remained and will go on.

Peter was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia, his parents, Peter and Rose,

his nephew, Eric, and brother-in-law, Norman, and sister-in-law, Joan. He is survived by

his loving daughters, Anne and Rose Marie, his son-in-law, Robert, his granddaughter,

Charlotte, his sister and brother-in-law, Carol and William, brother-in-law, William, his

cherished nephews and nieces, and many loving cousins. Peter will be buried beside

his beautiful wife, Patricia, at the National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
