ANTRIM ---- Peter D. Colbath, 72, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2025, at home surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born March 5, 1953 in Newburyport, MA, to Paul and Pauline (Stanley) Colbath.
After high school Peter joined the Navy. After returning home from the Navy he started his career as a mechanic. Shortly after that he married his forever love Barbara and started their family.
Some of his hobbies included camping, boating, woodworking and most of all spending time with his family.
After retiring from his full-time job, he opened a small coffee shop where he earned the nickname "Java Pete."
Peter is survived by his wife of 51 years Barbara, daughters Sherri Cyr and Christie Gallant and her husband Chris, and his six grandchildren Tyler, Hannah, Cody, Nolan, Griffin and Addison. He also leaves his siblings, brother Philip Colbath, sister Pamela Friend, and brother-in-law Dave Joki, sisters-in-laws Linda Colbath and Kim Leesekamp, and three nephews and three nieces. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Paula Graves, Bob Colbath, Paulette "Betsy" Joki, and Preston Colbath.
There will be no services at this time.
