A much-loved husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, Peter Fedak Jr., 89, of
Rockville, MD, passed away peacefully at the Hebrew Home of Rockville on June 27, 2025. He lived with strength and grace following a stroke he suffered 12 years ago.
He was born on April 3, 1936, in New Brunswick, NJ, and grew up living above his parents' bar with his sisters, Joan and Dorothy. A gifted athlete, Peter became a standout in track and field, earning recognition as a star runner in both high school and college.
He graduated from Georgetown University and earned his law degree from the University of Baltimore. Peter worked as an attorney and helped many a client when they were in need, offering steady guidance and compassion during difficult times. He was an advocate in every way someone might have needed. Always unconditional, he extended his support to friends, family, and even strangers.
He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially at the family farm, which brought him great joy and peace. He loved the sport of track, meaningful conversation, and the company of those he loved most. Peter had a remarkable gift for connection; he was a natural networker, always curious about people, and loved discovering common ground with whomever he met.
He believed his life's two greatest accomplishments were meeting his wife, Susan, with whom he built a decades-long friendship and marriage filled with love, trust, and unwavering devotion and raising his son, Peter, who inherited his father's compassion and love of family as he now raises his own two sons with his wife, Daniele.
He is survived by his son, Peter Fedak III, and wife Daniele Lorio; and grandsons Alexander Peter Fedak and Indigo Xavier Fedak. He was preceded in death by his beloved Susan, with whom he now walks once again, hand in hand, down the quiet paths of their farm in the sky.
