Peter Hayduk, age 60, went home to be with our Heavenly Father on October 1, 2025. Born on October 13, 1964, he was the beloved son of Sarah (Sally) and Robert Hayduk.
Peter is survived by his loving partner, Tonita. He is also survived by his stepchildren: Justin Drewery and his wife Krystle, along with their son Nathaniel; Lidia Osornio and her daughter Sofia; and Marco Osornio and his wife Jenny, with their children Kara and Koa. He is also remembered by his siblings, Kevin Hayduk, Natasha Hayduk, and Sonya Rose, and by many extended family. For the past month, Peter made his home with his nephew and niece, Tony and Cindy Hayduk, and was surrounded by love and care.
Peter graduated from Denbigh High School in Newport News, VA and continued his education by earning an Associates Degree in Business from Thomas Nelson Community College. He applied his knowledge and talents as a business owner and real estate agent, helping others and building meaningful connections along the way.
A man of faith, Peter lived each day guided by his love for Jesus Christ. He treasured fellowship, whether at family gatherings, the hunt club, or church, and loved connecting with the people around him. He had a deep passion for nature and the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and whipping up amazing meals in the kitchen. What brought him the greatest joy was sharing these passions with the younger generation, teaching them not just skills, but the lessons, laughter, and love that came with them.
Peter had a heart that could make anyone smile. He will be remembered for the laughter he shared, his courage, and the joy he brought to everyone whose life he touched. Peter's presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit, lessons, and love will continue to live on in all who knew him.
A funeral service for Peter Hayduk will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 1:30pm at Marymount University, 2807 North Glebe Road, Arlington, VA with a 2:30pm luncheon reception afterwards. The parking lot is located to the right of the front gate entrance and the Sacred Heart of Mary Chapel is to the left of the main gate.
