Peter John Herba

Peter John Herba, age 84, died at his residence in Hertford, North Carolina, on August 2, 2025. Born on July 26, 1941, in Fulton County, New York, Peter was the son of the late Steven Andrew Herba and Agnes Lillian Frasier Herba.

Peter dedicated his professional life to the communication industry, where he worked as a cable installer. Through his diligent work, he made significant contributions to the field's growth and development, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.

Peter's memory will be cherished by his surviving family, including his daughter, Shelley Waggoner of North Carolina; his sons, James Herba and Daniel Herba, both of North Carolina, and Shamus Lauer of South Carolina. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who will fondly cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and his brother, Robert Andrew Herba.

Services to honor Peter's life will be held at a later date. The family extends their gratitude to all who have offered their condolences and support during this difficult time.
