Pete was a fixture at track and cross country meets for many years! He helped guide runners to their fullest potential with joy and pride! His insights and respect for excellence were evident in his athletes and their competitors! His passion and devotion was something I admired as a fellow coach and friend! You will be missed my friend.

The Puskars were shocked and saddened to hear the news on Sunday. Pete was a big part of our family over the past 10 years and by far, Cal's biggest mentor, coach and confidant during his middle, high school and college running career. Through the ups and downs, Pete was always there and we shared many a long car rides and McDonald's cokes together along the way. The photo above was from the 2018 Section VI championships. Three blue patches but Pete was not satisfied and looking ahead to the competition at the State Meet. Thank you for your selflessness and the incredible impact you made on so many young runners in WNY. The Puskar Family

I first got to know Peter through friends of Villanova and his love for coaching and running. He was a person full of curiosity and optimism and lived to help young athletes through his coaching. He will be missed by so many.
My thoughts and prayers are with all who share in the loss of this wonderful person, and I offer my heartfelt condolences to Peter's entire family.

Don and Alice, Jim, Jennifer, John, Matthew, Sara, Grace:
I am so so sorry for your loss. Pete was a good man. Shocked and saddened and wishing I was there with all of you. During holidays spent in Orchard Park with the Holowkas, Pete's funny sarcasm would always come out. Many happy memories of these times.
Sending so much love and prayers to you all from Alaska, during this very sad time.

This is such a devastation loss. The ultimate frisbee league at birdsong will never be the same agian. Pete was the heart and soul. He was always such a kind and funny man. I always had pleasant conversation with him and yet he could also throw out a witty heckle to the opposing team with a smile on his face. I will miss seeing him every monday night in the summer.

So terribly sorry to learn of Peter's death. We played many Scrabble games at our club, and he was always a worthy and gentlemanly opponent. I will miss seeing him on Thursday nights, and I send my condolences to his family and friends.
