Peter Hurst Obituary
Peter F. Hurst, age 73, a resident of Frankfort, born and raised in Chicago, formerly of Hickory Hills and Homewood, passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021. Loving husband of JoEllen Hurst; beloved father of Colleen Hurst Dahlstrom, Marko Hurst, Kelly Hurst, and Matthew Hurst; dearest brother of John Hurst, Robert Hurst, Jack Pinkerton, Laura Hurst-Orasco, Karen Hurst and Joanne Barton; cherished grandfather of 9. He was preceded in death by his parents Peter Hurst and Gabriela Nappi Pinkerton, and a brother Jack Pinkerton. Peter was the Director of Security for Comcast for 11 years, Police Chief of Hickory Hills for 11 years, and Police Chief of Homewood for 4 years. A visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort IL 60423 on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services on Saturday, April 24, 2021, prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:15 AM leaving for St. Jude Catholic Church for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private. ALL ATTENDING ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A MASK AND SOCIAL DISTANCE. FOOD IS NOT ALLOWED IN THE FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society would be appreciated.
