Peter Allen Izzi

Peter A. Izzi, 56, a lifetime resident of Warwick, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025. Peter was a graduate of The Warwick Veteran's Memorial High School Class of 1987. He played baseball during his high school years and was such an incredible player that to this day, those who remember him, recall the linedrive homerun that he knocked out of the park past the bleachers at Vets. Peter was always a hardworking man with a passion for semi-trucks and HO scale model trains. His fascination with trucks aided in his pursuance of a career driving for several trucking/freight companies. The longest positions he held were with Consolidated Freightways as a driver and the United States Postal Service as a Mechanic. Peter was a very proud Local 251 Teamster during his driving years with a clean driving record.
He was a quick-witted, empathetic, loving, helpful and Patriotic man. He could hold a conversation with anybody while simultaneously holding the door open for them. He never failed to thank a Veteran when he was out in public. He was a very handy man who could fix just about anything. He had a love for chocolate candy, Looney Tunes (Bugs Bunny in particular), Christmas Vacation and all the puns one could ever imagine. If he saw something that reminded him of you, he would buy it for you just because.
Peter was a dedicated pet-parent to his 'Little Buddy' Elroy the cat. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Peter had a big heart and a comical personality. He was left-handed and his family recalls him saying, "Left-handed people are the only ones in their right mind."
He was the beloved husband and best friend of Jeanette (Allinson) Izzi. Peter is survived by his children, son Douglas J. Izzi (Asia), daughter Suzannah M. Martin (Ryan) and stepchildren Amber Brooks, Miranda Brooks (Alex Chace), Autumn Norcross (George) and Shea Chambers. Peter was the son of Joan E. (Olson) Izzi and Peter A. Izzi, Jr. He was the brother of Paula M. Izzi 'Piglet' and the late Pamela J. Izzi. He was the grandfather of Noah, Evan, Kara, Leia, Mera, Joseph and Sianna; uncle of Chelsea and Christopher; son-in-law of Robert and Sandra Allinson; brother-in-law of Bob Allinson (Tracy) and Scott Allinson (Nichole). Peter also leaves behind loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A Visitation will be held Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 4-7pm in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. He will be interred in a private service. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Pl. Memphis, TN 38105 are greatly appreciated.
