hemember PI rTo the family, So very sad to hear of Phyllis and Pete's passing. We were very good friends in Anchorage. Phyllis and Shirley were roommates when Phyliss was a Stewardess for Pacific Northern Airlines and Shirley was a Stewardess for Alaska Airlines. Neil attended their wedding. Shirley was in Seattle at the time.I saw Pete and Phyllis one time in Seattle.
We moved to Anchorage in 1960 and continued our friendship through letter writing. I remember Phyliss writing that she had a sudden health problem. We wrote for many years and then to my great dismay we stopped writing.
We loved Pete and Phyllis. We are sad that our connection ended and so wish it hadn't.
We send our love and great Sympathy to the family who I am sure are wonderful people like Pete and Phyllis. Love Neil and Shirley Martens

Dear Phyllis, I was sorry to hear of Pete's passing. (River Rat news letter). Pete & I flew 100 missions together out of Korat in '67. He was then my immediate supervisor at Randolph AFB in UPT, '67-'70. He was a fine pilot and officer. I know he will be missed. Bill Kriz
