Peter M. Lewis

I just found out through the Brandeis Alumni Magazine that Peter passed away last Summer. I am stunned, and deeply saddened. At Brandeis he was the Zionist guy from Maine, who looked, dressed, and talked the part. We became good friends in college, and I regret that we didn´t keep in touch over the decades. But Peter was one of those friends from long ago who, as I reminisce on that younger period in my life, I was lucky to have.

I met Peter when I came to the synagogue in OOB in 2021 and 2022. I got to know him a bit. As others have said, he was indeed a gentle kind soul.

Peter was one of my apartment mates during my senior year at Brandeis. He was the well grounded one who could bring the rest of us down to earth. May his memory be a blessing for all who knew him. He will be missed.

So saddened by the loss of a dear cousin. Peter was a kind and gentle soul with a ready smile. I have many fond childhood memories of our families' time together. Much too early to say goodbye.

i graduated with Peter in 1979 from Deering High School. He was a true Mensch. He will be missed.

Peter worked with me at LLBean, International Customer Service from 1991 through 2002. He was a great joy to have on the team and a wealth of knowledge. Team mates and customers always enjoyed working with Peter. He will be greatly missed by all. May he rest in peace. Mark Maloney
