Peter Anthony Liuzza Sr.

Peter Anthony Liuzza, Sr., age 65, of Covington, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 with his family and friends by his side. He was a devoted husband and father. Born on Sunday, October 25, 1959, in New Orleans, LA, to the late Sylvia and Anthony Peter Liuzza, Peter was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish and graduated from Chalmette High School, Class of 1978. Following Hurricane Katrina, he and his wife, Elizabeth relocated to Covington, Louisiana, where they have resided since 2006. Peter recently retired from the ARC of Greater New Orleans after 31 years of dedicated service. To know Pete was to love him. He had a unique sense of humor, a cheerful personality, and a laugh that was contagious. His presence could brighten the darkest of rooms. He will be remembered as a kind, fun loving, and genuine person who never met a stranger and loved his friends and family dearly. Peter is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Elizabeth Liuzza and his son, Peter Anthony Liuzza, Jr. (Michelle Lang). Also survived by many family members and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Terry Liuzza.
