Peter M. Kachur, 76, entered into rest on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.
Peter was born on June 20, 1948, in New York City, New York, to the late Wasil Louis and Anna Veronica Boysuk Kachur.
A proud veteran of the United States Army, Peter served his country as a Sergeant with honor. Following his military service, he had a successful career as a salesman with BellSouth, focusing on the yellow pages for many years. Peter was also a loyal member of the Communication Workers of America, working as a Union Steward for over 30 years.
In addition to his professional career, Peter was an automobile enthusiast. Peter's love for cars was a central part of his life and he spent much of his time restoring and repairing cars. His dedication to the automotive world led him to own a car dealership and participate in car auctions. Peter was also a proud member of the Corvette Club, where he formed lasting friendships with fellow enthusiasts.
Peter was a devout member of the Roman Catholic faith and found community in the Sacred Heart Parish.
In addition to his parents, Peter was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Ann Kachur.
His memory will forever be treasured by his daughter, Gwen M. Willeford (Loren), Mary Elizabeth Koho, and Peter John Kachur; grandchildren, Mary Margaret Jordan and Laurel Catherine Jordan, Jessica Catherine Koho, Lucas Connor Kachur, and Charlotte Laine Koho; brother, William Kachur.
At the family’s request, all services held will be private. Peter will be laid to rest in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville at a later date.
