In Loving Memory of Peter Marino
Peter D. Marino of Enola, PA passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. Peter was born in Harrisburg, PA on December 29, 1964, and was the son of Joan Marino and the late Frank Marino Jr.
Peter was a devoted family man and friend whose love for life was as boundless as his humor. His sparkling eyes and kind heart made anyone in his presence feel at ease. Peter marched to the beat of his own drum, embracing his spirit and bringing laughter to those around him.
Above all, Peter deeply loved his wife of 32 years, Stacey, and their son, Hunter. They were his greatest pride and joy, the center of his world. Together, Peter and Stacey shared a passion for raising championship Bullmastiffs, a bond they poured their hearts into. Those dogs were more than pets-they were family, and Peter's devotion to them reflected his caring nature.
The outdoors were Peter's sanctuary. Whether river fishing, hunting with his brothers, or sharing his vast knowledge of nature, he found peace in the wild. His passion for the natural world extended to his craft as a formally trained taxidermist, where his hands allowed him to preserve the stories of the land and its creatures in remarkable ways.
Despite his long battle with rheumatoid arthritis, Peter's resilience and warmth inspired everyone around him. He loved nothing more than spending time with his son or bonding with his brothers over adventures in the wild. Thanksgiving dinners will forever echo with the warmth of his lengthy, heartfelt blessings-his words a testament to his gratitude and love.
Peter's legacy lives on in the hearts of all who loved him. His laughter, his resilience, his devotion to Stacey and Hunter, and his love will forever guide us, like the rivers he cherished so deeply.
Peter is survived by his wife of 32 years, Stacey Marino, his son Hunter, his mother, Joan Marino, of Fort Hunter, one sister, Denise Pursell (John) of Lewisberry, PA, two brothers, Barth Marino (Tressia) and Frank Paul Marino III (Tonya) of Camp Hill, PA. Numerous nieces and nephews, Frank Purcell, Amanda Ripton, Alex Marino, Gia Marino, Samantha Marino and Sophia Marino.
A celebration of life will be held at the Fort Hunter Barn, 5300 N Front St, Harrisburg, PA 17110 on Monday, December 16th from 4-6PM.
The Sullivan Funeral Home is honored to serve the Marino family.
