Peter McHugh

Peter McHugh, 86, of Dumont, NJ passed away peacefully on November 30, 2023. He is survived by his wife, Yolanda (née Mayol), his children; Lisa Marie (John) Jursca, Peter (Pam) McHugh , Nicole McHugh who remembers how her father entertained family and with his gift for storytelling and top tier sense of humor. He filled gatherings and parties with life. "The song is ended, but the melody lingers on". Grandchildren; Victoria, Sean, Madison, Claire and Aubrey. Also survived by his sister-in-law, Rose Mary McHugh. Predeceased by his siblings; Thomas, Kathleen, Patrick and Bernard, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Peter was born in New York City to Alice (née McEntee) and Bernard McHugh. He was a boiler operator with Con Edison for many years, retiring in 1993.

A celebration of Peter's life will take place on Wednesday, December 6th, 4-7 PM at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Avenue, Dumont; www.frechmckinght. Funeral Mass Thursday, December 7th, 11 AM at St. Mary's Church, Dumont. Entombment Garden of Memories, Washington Township.
