Peter Nunes Obituary

Pete worked as a construction laborer for the Local 860 Labor Union for many years. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary Magdalene Church, longtime member of the Wickliffe Italian-American Club who loved to work the bocce tournaments that were held there, a former Red Coat host at Playhouse Square, was very involved with the Wickliffe Senior Center where he taught dancing to the music of the 1940s and 1950s, and was later inducted into the Lake County Council on Aging's Lake County Senior Citizen Hall of Fame in 2019.
Pete was the beloved husband of the late Carmella (nee Insana); dearest father of Larry Nunes and Anthony Insana; devoted grandfather of Noah, Daniel, Cate and Anna; dear brother of Francesca (deceased), Angelo (Dorothy) (both deceased), Joseph (deceased) (Jeanette), Mike (Ruth, deceased), Frank (Lupe) (both deceased), Tony (deceased) (Doris), Andrew (Dorothy) (both deceased) and Nick (Pat); dear uncle to many nieces and nephews; dear friend to many.
The family will receive friends at The Orlando-Donsante-Previte Funeral Home 29550 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe, on Tuesday, December 10th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pete's memory to St. Mary Magdalene Church.

Uncle Pete made an impression wherever he went. You would start as strangers to him but would leave as friends. He always had a kind word and a smile on his face.
He loved to dance and he was great at it. His style was unbeatable, he always looked sharp.
I hope he´s dancing in Heaven and that he´s received his reward in Heaven with the Lord.
Thank you for all you have done for your family and friends. You will be dearly missed!
