Peter John Power

POWER, Peter John. Of Rockland, formerly of Dorchester, died July 17, 2022. Born on May 17, 1947 to the late Peter Power and Julia (Daly) Power, both of Ireland.. Loving husband of 48 years to Karen (French) Power. Father to Bridget (Power) Goldthwaite and her husband Shawn Goldthwaite and the late Daniel F. Power. Grandfather to Jeremy Campbell and his wife Destiny, Johnny Brady, and Ethan Power. Great grandfather to Micah John Campbell. The son of immigrants, Mr. Power knew how to work hard. In the mid 1980's, he started a house painting business called New Hope Contractors. Pete had a strong client network and was known all over Jamaica Plain as the man who would "Put paint where it ain't", which was the slogan for his company. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his family. A Memorial Service for Peter will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at the Lighthouse Fellowship, 73 Newbury Avenue, North Quincy, MA 02171.
