Peter E. Powers, of Medford, Massachusetts, a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, a plant supervisor for 10 years with AVCO Research in Everett, Massachusetts, died on Tuesday, October 30, 2001. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, November 1, 2001, 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m., at Gaffey Funeral Home, 43 High Street, Medford. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, November 2, 10 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Memorial donations are appreciated to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701. Arrangements entrusted to Gaffey Funeral Home, Medford, Massachusetts.

We would like to offer our sincere symathy to you all. I talked to Peter for about 5 minutes Sunday afternoon in Johnnies Foodmaster and could not believe he is now gone. We are so sorry. I will try to make visiting hours tonight....Charlie
