Pete Reed is a battle decorated United States Marine who served in combat tours in Afghanistan and then continued his service as a globe-trotting humanitarian. He was killed on February 2, 2023, when shell hit his ambulance as he evacuated the wounded in eastern Ukraine. To learn more about his life and service, search his name on the internet. My daughter is in Kiev now visiting her friends, and she sent me this heart-breaking picture of the square in Kiev where little flags are installed for each life lost during this war. That is how I saw an American flag , and googled the name trying to find out. I live in NJ, close to Bordentown. My deepest condolences. He was a hero, and he will be remembered.

I saw his story on the news at some point and was so heartbroken to hear of his death. My deepest condolences to his family and friends. He was a true hero and I will never forget his sacrifice.
