Peter Joseph Rossi

Peter Joseph Rossi, age 80, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Northern Nevada Sierra Medical Center, surrounded by his family. Born on July 10, 1942, in San Mateo, California, to Nello and Marie (née Kyne) Rossi, he moved to Reno in 1963 to serve an apprenticeship with IBEW Local 401 and retired after 50 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Claudia (née Cox); children Denise, Ian, Patrick, Peter Neal, and their spouses and partners; granddaughters Jessica and Teisha; great-grandson Warren; brother Bill; and his cherished puppies Beau and Pippin. Peter shared his lifelong passion for aviation with his beloved family, to whom he was devoted. His greatest joys in life were flying his airplanes and being surrounded by those he loved in the home he built. In keeping with his wishes, he will be buried at sea in a private ceremony. A celebration of life will follow on July 8th in his long-awaited outdoor kitchen that he and Claudia designed together.
