Peter A. Salin
Peter Salin, age 77, passed away on April 16, 2025, at Capitol Lakes Health Center. Peter was born on April 18, 1947, to Bill and Helen Salin, and grew up in Aurora, Minn.. He was a 1965 graduate of Aurora High School, attended Virginia Junior College and graduated from St. Cloud State with a degree in Political Science and Economics.
In March 1969 he married Elissa Hendrickson and soon after started his career with State Farm Insurance. Peter and Elissa lived in Minneapolis, various cities in Wisconsin and Nebraska before retiring to Madison in 2011 after a 42-year career with State Farm.
After retirement, he worked part-time for Kaplan teaching insurance classes and for CSC providing security for Wisconsin sporting events. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter. Golf, playing poker, travel and Badger Basketball were all favorite pastimes.
Peter is survived by his wife of 56 years, Elissa, brother, Daniel (Delores), brother-in-law, Wayne Page, sister-in-law Gloria Hendrickson, nieces, nephews, and many friends throughout the country.
Peter was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Helen Salin, in-laws John and Gerty Hendrickson, sisters-in-laws Judy Anderson and Becky Page and brother-in-law John Hendrickson.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials in Peter's name may be made to Parkinson Foundation (www.parkinson.org) , 5757 Waterford District Drive, Miami, FL, 33126 or a charity of your choice.

You have shown such sisu throughout these past few years, but dear Peter, you can rest in peace now. We love and miss you.

Elissa...I'm so sorry to learn about Pete's death. He was a staple in my State Farm life going back to the 90s. He will be missed by so many.
