Obituary of Peter J. Sauer, Jr.

Peter Sauer, Jr., age 72, of Aston, PA, passed away on December 14, 2025, at Riddle Memorial Hospital.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Peter was the beloved son of the late Peter Sauer, Sr. and the late Mary (Torrente) Sauer. He later made his home in Aston, where he resided for a year, having previously lived in Bucks County, PA.

Peter was a graduate of La Salle College High School, Class of 1972. He went on to attend La Salle College, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree. Peter worked for many years at West Coast Video Corporate headquarters and later as a proofreader for Johnson & Johnson before retiring.

Peter had a deep appreciation for the arts and enjoyed performing in community theater productions, especially at the Kelsey Theatre. He was an avid movie lover, with a special fondness for anything Disney. Above all, Peter cherished the companionship of his beloved cat, Smudgie.

He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth Colonna, widow of the late Joe Colonna; his nephews, Joe (Erika) Colonna and Mike (Jill) Colonna; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Nick, Christian, Julia, Olivia, and Gabe.

Services for Peter will be held at a later date.
