Peter Schussler Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McGhee-Givnish Funeral Home, Inc. from Feb. 25 to Mar. 1, 2026.
Peter "Pete" F. Schussler, Jr.,

89, of Fishers, passed away in his home on February 25, 2026. Pete grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was born March 8, 1936 to the late Peter and Anne (Walker) Schussler. He always looked out for and adored his two brothers, Carl and John Schussler. He attended Northeast Catholic High School and continued his education at Penn State University. He later joined the Pennsylvania National Guard and served his country for eight years. Pete met his childhood sweetheart in 1950 and married Lolly, the love of his life in April 1956. He loved his family including his two children, Peter III and Karen. Through his life, he worked for Bond Bread and as a sales representative for Corning Glass Industrial Division.

When retired, Pete drove a special needs school bus in Bucks County. He loved helping those kids daily. He was always devoted to his faith and church. Volunteering when needed, assisting the priests to prepare for mass, and even feeding the needy. He was a longtime member of St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church.

Above all, his faith and family were his greatest love and joy in life. Pete is survived by his wife, Josephine "Lolly" Schussler; daughter, Karen; four grandchildren, Anthony, Ryan, Danielle, and Kara; and five great-grandchildren, Jacquline, Emma, Molly, Hudson and Simon. He also loved his extended family including brothers, nieces and nephews. Pete was preceded in death by his son, Peter Schussler III.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church, 11441 Hague Road, Fishers with visitation one hour prior.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Lois de Montfort Building Fund.
