Peter Shark Obituary
He is survived by his wife Joy, mother Victoria, sisters Patricia and Laurie with her husband Jim, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his father, Peter Shark back in 2011.
The youngest of three kids, Pete was born on April 4th, 1967. He was an active child, who played in several little league teams including North Elizabeth, Elmora, and St. Katherine's Grammar school. At age 7, he was introduced to swimming and swam competitively for 10 years. 4 of those years were with his high school, Union Catholic Regional High School.
He graduated from Kean College, with a degree in business. Because Pete liked helping people, he ended up in a career working for Elizabeth General's Central Supply Department. After the General closed, he worked as an ER Technician for Trinitas Regional Medical Center.
Pete met his wife at a dive bar, where the new Goethals Bridge currently stands, in 2006 and began dating her in early 2007. Five years later, they were married in Las Vegas, one of his favorite places to visit. Not because of it's usual attractions, rather the beautiful landscape that surrounds the Entertainment Capital of the World.
Pete enjoyed going to rock and heavy metal concerts. Some of his favorite bands included Slayer, Motorhead, Black Sabbath, the Ramones, Bruce Springsteen, The Rolling Stones, and the Pretenders. He also loved spending time with his wife and family, whether it was going on vacation, making dinner, or just vegging out on the couch watching TV.
Pete You will be always on our minds and forever in our hearts until we see each other again. We love you!
A service, to celebrate his life, will be held at Legacy Growney Funeral Home, 1070 N Broad Street, Hillside, NJ 07205, from 1:00-4:00pm. Sunday June 5, 2022
