Peter Lamont Tate-Reed, a beloved husband, father, son, and friend, passed away on August 15, 2024, in Mineral Wells, TX. Born in Lubbock, TX, on September 17, 1977, Peter touched the lives of many with his warm smile and kind heart.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gwendolyn Reed, step-children, Kiera Dow and Jayden Tincher; and his mother, Zelma Tate; brothers, Anthony Tate, Michael Tate, Brandon Tate-Reed; step siblings: Kathy Parker, Claude Green, Dana Green and Tanisha, adopted mother: Mattie Reed, mother-in-law, Kimberly Dow; sister-in-law, Amanda Dow; brother-in-law, Christopher Dow; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other extended family and friends.
Pete dedicated his career to working as a forklift operator at Cantex, bringing his strong work ethic and dedication to every task he undertook. Pete enjoyed fishing, was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, and was a friend to all. He faced life with a smile and positive attitude no matter the obstacles he faced. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday evening at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church.
