Peter Leo Temperino

Peter Leo Temperino, 87, of Nashua, died Tuesday, April 23, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. Peter was born July 1, 1936, to the late Leo and Gertrude Temperino (Fritz) in Los Angeles, California. Peter graduated from the University High School in Los Angeles California in 1954.
Shortly after his graduation Peter went from US Navy reserve to active duty in the US Navy and was stationed in Virginia until his enlistment ended in January of 1961. Just prior to his Navy discharge, he married his beloved wife, Linda Ann (Hughes) of New York on April 23, 1960. Shortly after their marriage, they both moved to Nashua in the fall of 1963 with their first-born son, Steven. At that time Peter became employed by Sanders of Nashua, where he worked until his retirement, after working more than 40 years for Sanders, in January of 2004.
During these 40 years Peter spent about 5 years living in Spain with his family on deployment for Sanders. Peter worked as a civilian contractor affiliated with the VQ2 Squadron at the Rota Spain Naval Base. Peter and Linda returned to Nashua in 1969, along with their second son, Richard.
Peter is predeceased by his Mother Gurtrude Temperino. Father Leo Temperino, and Brother Roger Temperino, who are all from Los Angeles, California. Peter is survived by his loving wife, Linda Ann (Hughes) Temperino, after 64 years 4 hours and 5 minutes of marriage; their 2 sons, Steven, and wife Patricia of Plymouth NH, son Richard, of Danvers MA, as well as their 3 Grandchildren, Anthony of Wilmington, VT, Samuel of Danvers, MA, and Aidan of Brookline, MA.
Peter loved to ski Pats Peak on a weekly basis when the weather permitted and loved to scuba dive in the Caribbean. He was open water certified at the Isle of Sholes when he was 50 years of age. Peter was also a very active member of the Nashua Fish and Game Association from October 12, 1983, until his passing. He enjoyed competitive shooting and had earned the status of Outdoor Pistol Expert by the NRA.
