Peter Watson Obituary
He was born on August 17, 1958, to Paul E. Watson (dec) and Barbara A. Watson (Garlough) in Canton, NY. He graduated from Colton-Pierrepont High School in 1977 and Canton ATC in 1979. He married Pamela J. Watson (Wagner) in Syracuse, NY, on October 4, 1986. In 2015 he retired from Brookfield Power as a Hydro Electrical Designer.
Peter was a past member of the Colton, Minoa, and Parish Fire Departments. He also taught CPR and First Aid through the Onondaga American Red Cross.
He lived a life centered around family, friends, hard work, and quiet strength. He could not sit idly without doing woodworking for family projects, maple production in late winter and early spring, watching soccer games (especially Sarah's games), and giving the grandkids gator and four-wheeler rides.
Peter is survived by his mother, Barbara Watson; siblings, Timothy (Diane) Watson and Daniel (Maureen) Watson; his wife, Pamela Watson; children, Carra (Gregory) Porter, Laura (Christopher) Boyden, Mary Watson, and Justin Watson; grandkids, Natalie, Leland Durfey, Jeramiah, Ethan, Sarah Boyden, Allison, and Melanie Porter; in-laws, Donald, Geraldine Wagner, and Patrice Soltau. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. Peter will be meeting his father, Paul Watson; in-laws, Donald and Florence Wagner, Kenneth and Daniel J. Wagner, and Mark (Harry) Soltau; and niece, Annmarie Wagner.
Graveside services will be on October 5, 2025, at 1:30 pm, at Pleasant Lawn Cemetery in Parish. Following will be a celebration of life at the Parish Fire Company.
