Peter G. Wilson
November 8, 1950 - March 1, 2026
Peter G. Wilson, age 75, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026.
Born on November 8, 1950, Peter lived a life defined by dedication, curiosity, service, and love for his family and community. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1971 to 1975, carrying with him the discipline and integrity that would shape the rest of his life.
Following his military service, Peter built a long and respected career as a telephone technician. He worked for RCA for many years and later continued his career with Mitel, retiring in 2010. He was known for his strong work ethic, sharp technical mind, and willingness to help others solve even the most complicated problems.
Peter was the kind of man everyone wanted next door. He was affectionately known as the "neighborhood dad," teaching countless teenagers how to drive and offering steady guidance with patience and humor. He had a lifelong love of science fiction, always eager to explore new worlds through books and film. A true do-it-yourselfer, Peter could fix, build, or improve just about anything, and he took pride in tackling projects with his own hands.
Above all, Peter cherished his family. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Paren Borcky and her husband Michael; his son, Devin Wilson and his wife Melanie; his adopted nephews, Jami and Thomas Pike; and his beloved grandchildren, Autumn, Madison, Justin, Devin, and Alex. He was a devoted father, proud grandfather, and a steady, loving presence to his extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Peter's memory to VITAS Hospice Care or The Morton Arboretum.
Peter's steady presence, generous spirit, and quiet strength will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
