Peter J. Wojtkiewicz

Peter J. Wojtkiewicz, a longtime resident of Acton, passed away peacefully October 7th, 2024 at his home in Acton. He was the beloved husband of the late Louise (Butman) Wojtkiewicz to whom is he was married sixty-six years at the time of her passing in 2022.
Pete was born in Concord, son of the late John P. and Jennie (Piuto) Wojtkiewicz. He was raised in Maynard and completed his education in Newton where he met his high school sweetheart Louise. They married in 1956, settling in Acton where they would raise their family. The Wotjtkiewicz family owned and operated Watts TV in Acton for over forty years, originally opened in Exchange Hall in 1957 before moving to West Acton and finally Great Road.
Along with his wife Louise, Pete was a longtime member of the Lion's Club in Acton. They both were dedicated members for over thirty years in service to their community. Pete enjoyed fishing, especially taking deep sea trips off the coast of New England. In his later years, he enjoyed traveling with his wife and friends. Though, more than anything, Pete enjoyed time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Pete is lovingly survived by his daughter Geralynn Roche. He was the devoted grandfather of Peter, Brandon, Beth, Samantha, Bradley and Melissa and great-grandfather to Jacob, Madelyn, Madison and Ryleigh. Sadly, he was predeceased by his son Lenny Wojtkiewicz.
All are invited to visiting hours on Monday October 14th from 4:00-7:00PM in the Acton Funeral Home 470 Massachusetts Avenue (Rte. 111) Acton. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 15th at 10:30AM in St. Bridget's Church, corner or Sudbury and Percival Streets, Maynard. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, West Acton.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Lion's Eye Research or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
