David Wilson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Acton Funeral Home on Mar. 6, 2026.
David Alden Wilson, 87, of Littleton, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at his cherished home of 60 years on March 4, 2026. Born on October 11, 1938, in Concord, Massachusetts, David lived a life rich with dedication to his family, his work, and his passions.

David graduated from Acton-Boxborough High School before proudly serving in the United States Army from 1957 to 1960 as a telephone lineman stationed at Fort Bragg in North Carolina. During his service, he also pursued college courses, exemplifying his commitment to personal growth and education.

After completing his military service, David embarked on a diverse and industrious career. He began by working alongside his father in painting and wallpapering before joining his brother in the tree service industry. Later, he contributed to the maintenance of condominiums such as Concord Greene. In retirement, David found fulfillment working with his eldest son Bryce in landscaping and snow removal-a reflection of his strong work ethic and the joy he found in collaborating with family.

David's life was enriched by hobbies that brought him happiness and connection with others. A devoted fan of Boston sports teams, he passionately supported the Red Sox and Bruins. He enjoyed bird watching, hunting, fishing, canoeing, bowling, reading books, watching movies, and spending time outdoors playing ball or walking with his dogs. One of his favorite pastimes was sharing coffee and lively conversations with friends at the local Dunkin' Donuts. Additionally, David gave back to his community by coaching youth hockey during his younger years, fostering a love for the sport among aspiring players.

Above all else, David deeply valued time spent with family. He is survived by Elizabeth Christine Wilson, his beloved wife of 65 years; their children Bryce Wilson and wife Lyn; Todd Wilson and partner Dr. Amish Dave; and Linda Kaiser; grandchildren Caity Connolly and husband Paul; Justin Wilson; Bryan Wilson and fiancée Kate; Morgan Leger; Christina Diaz and husband Matthew; as well as great-grandchildren Callan Connolly, Conrad Connolly, and Saria Diaz. He is also survived by two sisters: Harriet Stewart and her husband Bill; and Jeanne Stewart.

David was predeceased by his parents James Bryce Wilson and Eleanor Porter (Hall) Wilson; as well as siblings Janet (Wilson) Zacame, Donald Wilson, and James (Jimmy) Wilson.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 12, 2026, at 10:00 AM, at Acton Funeral Home located at 470 Massachusetts Avenue (Rt 111), in Acton. Burial will take place privately in the spring.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved in David's care over the past year-including VNA Homecare Team, Care Dimensions, and Senior Helpers-for enabling him to remain comfortably at home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a cause close to your heart in David's honor supporting veterans.

David's memory will live on through the lives he touched. May it bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
