Peter Yanda Obituary
Peter's favorite line was "never had a bad day" and he truly meant it. He exemplified positivity, resilience and courage. He loved to laugh and no one ever left a conversation with him without hearing a joke.
Peter's life was defined by his relationships. He was a friend, a mentor, and everyone's biggest champion. Above all, he was endlessly devoted to his family and his faith.
He was welcomed into Heaven by his mother and father, Betty and Bob; and sister, Mary Finnegan. He will be missed and forever cherished by his wife, Jane; daughters, Gretchen (Andrew Goldfinch), Jamie Ballard (Keith), and Lindsay Gilligan (Ryan); brother, Steve; nieces, nephews, extended family; and the five brightest lights in his life: Ava, Luke, Will, Abby and Henry.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 4-7 PM, at Washburn McReavy Edina Chapel, 5000 West 50th St. Edina, MN 55436.

We only met Peter a few times but we will always remember his exuberant presence, his hearty laugh and memorably good attitude about life. We are very sorry to have missed the notice and your celebration but will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Our deepest condolences to Jane, Gretchen, Jamie and Lindsay. I´m so very sorry to hear about the passing of Peter. I remember hearing his boisterous voice on the other end of the phone with his daughters. I know his spirit lives on in each of them. My thoughts are with Jane, Gretchen, Jamie, Lindsay and the rest of his family.

I am so honored to have known Pete! He was such a wonderful man! He was always full of jokes and stories and loved to chat about his grand babies. He was part of the original "morning crew" as we called the guys that would come to the local Holiday for their morning coffee, newspaper and friendly chats with everyone. They made everyone feel welcome to join them. He helped celebrate so many special memories with us at Holiday. Any reason to have pie and we couldn´t argue about that! He will be greatly missed! So sorry for your loss.
