Nancy Yanda, a beacon of light in the world of Secondary education, left us on July 28, 2025. Born on July 31, 1942, to Val and Leola DeSpain, Nancy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her life was a beautiful Garden, filled with beautiful flowers, captivating landscapes, and occasional natures weeds that only made her determined to make beautiful landscapes.
Nancy was a passionate secondary teacher, touching countless lives with her love for life and her unwavering dedication to her students. Nancy's love for teaching and children was only surpassed by her love for her family. She was a pillar of strength and warmth for her Daughter, granddaughters, great-granddaughters and great-grandson. Her love extended to her nieces, nephews, and all those fortunate enough to call Nancy a friend.
Beyond her professional life, Nancy found peace and joy in her garden, her art, and her kitchen. The same creativity that she used to mold young minds in education found its way into her beautiful flower beds, her captivating paintings, and her deliciously crafted meals. She was truly a woman of many talents, and her spirit will continue to live on through the beauty she created and the people she touched.
