It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Philip Frank Amodeo who departed this life on November 13, 2025 at the age of 89. He was born on November 17, 1935 in Portland, Oregon to Girolamo "Jim" and Augusta Amodeo.
Philip Frank Amodeo was a devoted husband to his wife, Joanne, with whom he shared a loving 47-year marriage prior to her passing in 2005. He was a proud and loving father to Anthony Amodeo (Nancy), Michael Amodeo, Janine Amodeo, John Amodeo (Rita), Mark Amodeo, Michelle Scrivner (Mike) and a doting grandfather to Angela, Loyd, Chad, Keatra, Kerstin, Michael, Greggory, Meghan, Corey, Mackenzie, Caitlyn, Lucas, Kelsey, Rachel and Michaela, and the great grandfather to twenty-four children. He was preceded in death by Joanne Amodeo (wife), Judy Schatz (sister) and Jean Amodeo (sister).
A man of integrity and kindness, Philip Frank Amodeo worked as a Salesman for 50 years, a career he was passionate about. He was known for his dedication and performance, achieving salesperson of the year for many of his years at Portland Typewriter. Beyond his career, he was an avid golfer, a passion he shared with his family
and friends.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The funeral service will be held at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 25th at 11:00am (Rosary at 10:30 am). In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to March of Dimes, a cause that was close to his heart.
