Philip A. Drellack, age 90, passed away peacefully in Farmington Hills, Saturday, June 25, 2022.
Philip was born on the family farm in Little Falls, MN, January 2, 1932, the son of the late Anna and Stanley Drellack.
He was born, raised and grew up on the family farm in Little Falls, Minnesota before relocating to Michigan. Philip was known as a hard worker and very motivated. He worked for over 40 years as a construction engineer, mostly for Hammond Construction Co. here in Michigan. He moved his family to Michigan to begin his career as a construction engineer, his wife and four children were all born in Minnesota but found a new home in Michigan. Philip worked on many roadways throughout the state of Michigan. His goal was to provide for his family and take care them throughout there lives. The Drellack family were members at St. Scholastica Parish in Detroit when they first moved to Michigan. He enjoyed being a member and ushering during Mass. Later in life when they moved to White Lake he joined St Patrick Catholic Parish Church. The family farm is still in the family and it is the intention of his family to take his cremated remains back to Minnesota for burial.
Philip is preceded in death by his loving wife of 64½ years, Elaine. He is the beloved father of Cherry Katz (Marv), Pamela Lancaster, Michelle Rodeski (Vince) and John Drellack (Lori); cherished grandfather of Jason, Ryan, Ian, Jessica, Jeremiah and Logan and great grandfather of 5. He was the youngest of 7 siblings and is preceded in death by all 6 of his siblings.
Please keep the Drellack family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
