The sentence in the obituary that says heaven gained a special angel is so true. Mr. Egan was a wonderfully kind man that I was lucky to know. As a nervous college freshman at Siena who had never been far from home, I was blessed to meet his daughter Cathy and was welcomed into a new family by him. All those family dinners that I was included in when traveling two hours home didn't make sense made a difference in my first year of college. To this day some 38 years later, I will never forget his kind heart and smiling eyes. Please know all of you are in our thoughts and prayers. With love and sympathy.

To the Family of Mr. Egan;
I will always remember him fondly. He helped me get my first credit card at age 17. He was always very nice and would help you out personally no matter what the problem was.

Although I have never met Philip, I know he was an amazing father and mentor to his daughters and had nothing but love in his heart for his entire family. My sincere condolences to the family for this great loss, Philip is now in a place where he can watch over all of you.
