Philip Haubert Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home - Wichita Falls on Jan. 28, 2026.
Philip Wayne Haubert was born on August 24, 1946, and raised in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was a proud graduate of WFHS before enlisting in the United States Navy, where he served for 4 years. During his time in the Navy, Philip worked as an architect, beginning a career he would carry with him for decades.

After his military service, Philip worked for a private architectural firm before spending 22 years with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He remained in this role until his retirement in 2012.

Philip passed away peacefully on January 27, with his beloved wife of 32 years, Sue, by his side. He is also survived by his two children, Stephani and Stephan.

He found joy in life's simple pleasures-cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, watching NASCAR, playing softball, spending time hunting, and cooking what many would say was a mean steak. Philip was also a longtime member of Ducks Unlimited, reflecting his love of the outdoors and conservation.

Philip will be remembered for his steady presence, strong work ethic, and the love he had for his family. He leaves behind many memories that will be cherished by those who knew and loved him.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4th at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.
