Philip David Hazelip, 65, of Cumby, passed away on August 9, 2023, in Greenville, Texas. Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M., Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Ratliff officiating. Interment will be in Cumby Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
Phil was born July 11, 1958, in Dallas, Texas, to Billy Ralph Hazelip and Margie Neal Owens Hazelip. Phil owned and operated, Hazelip Installation for over 20 years. He was an independent contractor and traveled all over the US installing commercial shelving.
Phil enjoyed spending time with his family, watching old westerns, and creating things with wood. He will be dearly missed by all that loved him.
He is survived by wife, Brenna Hazelip, daughter, Breanna Dees and husband Chris; son, Ryan Mefford and wife Stormy; grandchildren, Koltyn Hazelip, Ryhder Kirby, Jaylee Mefford and Braelyn Kirby; brother, Steve Hazelip and wife Jan; sisters, Debi Pearson and husband, Gary; and Jan Nerwich; nephew, Heath Hazelip and wife, Jennifer, Ryan Nerwich and wife Cally; nieces, Amanda Pearson, Lauren Pearson, Amy Pearson, Trina Mullins, and Cattie Powers; great nieces and nephews; and aunt, Anita Mitchell and husband, Don.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Bill and Margie, brother, Mark Hazelip, and niece, Halie Hazelip Braley.
Pallbearers will be Heath Hazelip, Ryan Nerwich, Karsyn Buchanan, Westyn Buchanan, Ryan Mefford, Koltyn Hazelip and David Buchanan.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Dees and Tripp Braley.
